2021 marks the first of its kind publishing event, featuring Batman stories by top creative teams from across the globe, taking place in their home countries. To celebrate the launch, we've teamed up with the legendary, DC Comics team, for a special capsule highlighting the different artworks by the Comic artist from several countries including Brazil, USA, Mexico, China, Japan, Turkey, and Russia.

We'll be celebrating the Comic release with a limited-edition collection of apparel highlighting key artwork from the Batman: The World edition. We will be highlighting each artist, their cover artwork, and their background story.

Artist Behind - Brazil: Pedro Mauro

Born in Sao Paulo, Pedro Mauro jumped into comic design in the 1970s, working for the publisher Taika (SP). He migrated to the advertising market as an illustrator, in agencies in Sao Paulo and New York, where he lived for twelve years. Mauro returned to drawing comics in 2014, starting his collaboration with Sergio Bonelli Editore (Italy), drawing episodes of Adam Wild, and episodes of the series Cani Sciolti, all with Gianfranco Manfredi.

During this period, he also illustrated an album from the series L'art du Crime, by Marc Omeyer and Olivier Berlion for Editora Glnat (France). Between 2017 and 2019, he independently launched the Trilogy Trilogy with a screenplay by Carlos Stefan. In 2021, Mauro was selected to collaborate with DC Comics - Batman: The World project.
